Leather Working Group (LWG) is a global non-profit, multi-stakeholder initiative committed to building a world where leather is sourced, produced, and used sustainably, protecting people and the planet.
LWG supports and encourages the use of responsibly made leather as a sustainable material by inspiring, educating, and challenging those that produce and use leather. Through collaboration, convening, and standard setting, we are collectively creating a transparent leather value chain that achieves positive impacts aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Leather Working Group is currently seeking to approve experienced auditors to be responsible for the auditing of leather manufacturers, with preferred locations and language skills being China, South/Central America, and Italy.

Director of Standards Development
Part of the senior management team, reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Standards Development will be accountable for ensuring the robust governance and development of the LWG sustainability standards. We are looking for a strategic professional with experience of working at a senior level with an in-depth knowledge of standard setting. Experience within the leather or leather product, fashion and textiles or agricultural supply chains will be an advantage.

Engagement Associate
Part of the Communications teams and reporting to the Marketing and Engagement Manager this role is responsible for the day-to-day communication with our stakeholders. You will ensure our member brands have the support they need, from onboarding to keeping them up to date with LWG activities and answering queries. This is a key contact position in the organisation and has cross-functional reach across all teams.
