Our Brand members have immediate access to an established environmental auditing system that has been developed by the worlds’ leading centre of excellence for the leather industry in conjunction with several major brands and their tanner suppliers.

LWG expects any brands or suppliers that wish to use the LWG protocol to assess their leather supply chain to be fully engaged, paid up members of the Leather Working Group.

Our philosophy on membership is that brands and suppliers fund the group through annual subscriptions, while leather manufacturers are assessed via the LWG Environmental Audit Protocol.

Meetings

LWG hosts two annual Main Member Meetings: one in Spring, to coincide with APLF in Hong Kong, and the second in Autumn to coincide with a European leather fair.

LWG is pleased to offer a webinar to our Brand and Retailer Members on the newly launched LWG Claims Framework. The framework has been designed as a guide on how to make accurate claims about membership to LWG and a product level.
