Our Brand members have immediate access to an established environmental auditing system that has been developed by the worlds’ leading centre of excellence for the leather industry in conjunction with several major brands and their tanner suppliers.

LWG expects any brands or suppliers that wish to use the LWG protocol to assess their leather supply chain to be fully engaged, paid up members of the Leather Working Group.

Join us today

Our philosophy on membership is that brands and suppliers fund the group through annual subscriptions, while leather manufacturers are assessed via the LWG Environmental Audit Protocol.

Meetings

LWG hosts two annual Main Member Meetings: one in Spring, to coincide with APLF in Hong Kong, and the second in Autumn to coincide with a European leather fair.

How We Work

The Leather Working Group is made up of representative parties from different areas of the product supply chain including major brands, tanners, technical experts and other industry representatives. An Executive Committee is elected from the membership of the LWG by its members.

The Leather Working Group is pleased to announce that registration for our USA Regional Meeting in New York is now open on the LWG website.
