Register Now: LWG Webinars on CrVI

The next installment of the LWG Webinar Series will address Chromium VI (CrVI), focusing on monitoring and prevention within the context of leather manufacturing facilities. Notably, our webinar will include information the requirements of the LWG Environmental Audit Protocol, as well as considerations for future iterations of the audit.

To date, the LWG Webinar Series offers training on the following topics:

  1. Audit Administration & Documentation

  1. Risk Assessment & Emergency Planning

  1. Monitoring & Prevention of CrVI

LWG will host the training webinar on CrVI and it will be delivered twice to cover multiple time-zones. Importantly, we hope to allow as many members to attend the webinar as possible by delivering it multiple times. The slides and recording of the webinar will then be available to LWG Members via the Member Area of the LWG website.

The webinar will be delivered by two speakers:

Georgina Mawer (Chemistry Lead & Chem-MAP Technical Manager, BLC Leather Technology Centre): Georgina leads the Chem-MAP team at BLC Leather Technology Centre and will be able to provide a detailed overview of legislative requirements for the monitoring and prevention of the formation of CrVI.

Mark Lucas (Auditor, LWG): Mark is an experienced auditor who conducts LWG audits all over the world. He is also a member of the LWG Technical Sub-Group (TSG) and has been heavily involved in the development of the LWG audit protocols since the beginning of the group in 2005.
