A successful week in Paris for the LWG Team at the Première Vision trade fair for the global fashion industry.
The LWG Team travelled to France in the first week of July to attend Première Vision at the Parc des Expositions, just north of Paris. Christina Trautmann (Head of LWG), Oihana Garcia-Chevillotte (Community Engagement Manager), and Jennifer Toes (Communications Lead) attended the event alongside members of the fashion industry and businesses from related sectors.
Visitors of Première Vision attend to meet with potential suppliers and customers, learn more about emerging trends in the industry and connect with fellow creatives and eco-conscious professionals. Organized over three days, the fair included 9 different fashion areas with more than 1000 international exhibitors as well as physical and digital conferences and several forums.
LWG exhibited in the Smart Creation area of Hall 4, alongside innovators, certifications, and services for the fashion and textile industries. We were pleased to meet with many existing and potential members and connect with other stakeholders to talk more about what we do and share details on the mission and tools developed by Leather Working Group.
On the second day of the fair, Christina Trautmann spoke to attendees as part of the speaker programme within the ‘Talks Area’ of the fair. Christina highlighted how Leather Working Group is bringing about positive change in the leather industry through its approach to promoting responsibly made leather. The LWG Team attended several of the other physical talks and were particularly interested in the knowledge and insights which were shared on traceability, laws and regulations, and fashion and climate change.
